Match Review Committee Hands Down More Round 10 Charges

Cameron McInnes, Jesse Colquhoun, Thomas Hazelton, Preston Riki and Brandon Wakeham have been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following Saturday’s Round 10 matches in the 2026 NRL season.

Wakeham is facing suspension after a Grade 2 high tackle charge, while the Sharks had three separate players charged from the same match.

Brandon Wakeham (Sea Eagles)

Wakeham faces suspension after being charged with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle following contact involving Ben Talty in the 32nd minute.

Sharks Hit With Three Charges

The Sharks were the most heavily impacted club from Saturday’s matches, with three players charged.

Cameron McInnes

  • Incident: Careless High Tackle on Edward Kosi
  • Early Plea: $1,000 fine

Jesse Colquhoun

  • Incident: Dangerous Contact on Jye Gray
  • Early Plea: $1,800 fine (second offence)

Thomas Hazelton

  • Incident: Careless High Tackle on Cameron Murray
  • Early Plea: $1,800 fine (second offence)

Other Charge

Preston Riki (Broncos)

Riki has been charged with Dangerous Contact following an incident involving Joey Walsh.

Due to it being his second offence, he faces an elevated fine.

  • Early Plea: $1,800 fine
  • If Guilty at Panel: $2,500 fine

What Happens Next

Players charged by the NRL Match Review Committee must decide whether to:

  • Accept the early guilty plea, or
  • Challenge the charge at the NRL Judiciary panel.

Any contested matters will be heard early next week.
