Catalans Dragons have added serious firepower to their backline for 2026 and beyond, signing Queensland Cup sensation Manese Kaho on a two-year deal.

Kaho, 24, has been one of the most lethal finishers in the QLD Cup in recent seasons, crossing for a remarkable 44 tries in 53 appearances with Dolphin feeder club Norths Devils. His breakout 2024 campaign saw him crowned the competition’s leading tryscorer, touching down 21 times and cementing himself as one of the most dangerous players outside the NRL system.

Before his rise in Queensland, Kaho spent time with the Canberra Raiders’ NSW Cup side, where he scored 8 tries in 9 appearances across two seasons. Despite no NRL experience, Catalans believe Kaho possesses the athleticism, power and finishing instinct to thrive in Super League.

The signing fits with new head coach Joel Tomkins’ rebuild, as the club continues reshaping its roster following the abrupt sacking of long-time coach Steve McNamara in late May.

Kaho’s strike rate and physical profile make him a potential game-breaker for the Dragons—perhaps even a hidden gem as the club pushes to return to title contention.
