Leeds Rhinos have locked in two of their most important backline players, with fullback Lachlan Miller and winger Ash Handley committing their futures to the club in major re-signing news.
Miller, 31, has agreed to a new deal keeping him at Headingley until the end of 2027, with an option for 2028, while Handley has re-signed through to the end of 2029 — extending his long-standing tenure with the Rhinos.
For Miller, a product of New South Wales’ mid-north coast, the new deal caps off an impressive journey since switching codes. After a brief stint in rugby sevens, he made his NRL debut with Cronulla Sharks in 2022 before joining the Newcastle Knights in 2023. Since arriving at Leeds, he’s made 50 appearances and crossed for 16 tries, becoming a dependable presence at the back and a leader on both sides of the ball.
Handley, meanwhile, continues to be one of the cornerstones of Leeds’ attack. The 29-year-old has been with the club since 2014, amassing over 100 tries in 238 appearances. He has topped the club’s try-scoring charts from 2022 to 2024, and his consistency and leadership make him vital to the Rhinos’ resurgence under their new direction.
With both stars committed long-term, Leeds have secured a crucial part of their spine and attacking depth as they continue to build toward future success.
