Giants reshape the deck as new arrivals take their place in Huddersfield’s 2026 line-up
Huddersfield Giants have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2026 Super League season, offering the first real glimpse at how their evolving roster will be structured following an active recruitment drive.
Heading the fresh faces is Niall Evalds, who arrives from Hull KR and has been handed the number 1 jersey, immediately signalling his role as the Giants’ first-choice fullback. The experienced outside back brings proven Super League quality and leadership to a backline that has undergone notable change.
French forward Mathieu Cozza and Wakefield recruit Oliver Russell also join the club, with Cozza taking squad number 20 and Russell slotting in at 32. Former NRL prop Chris Patolo adds size and power to the middle rotation at number 23, while highly-rated Asher O’Donnell makes the move from the QLD Cup and will wear number 11, underlining Huddersfield’s intent to blend development with experience.
Harry Rushton’s move into the number 13 jumper stands out as another key allocation, suggesting an expanded role through the middle of the park, while Adam Swift (2) and Jacob Gagai (3) shape as important figures in the Giants’ outside-back structure.
The halves combination of Adam Clune (7) and Tui Lolohea (6) will again be central to Huddersfield’s attacking direction, supported by a forward pack featuring Thomas Burgess (10) and Matty English (15).
