Warrington Wolves have confirmed that Sam Stone has completed a permanent move from Salford Red Devils, signing a two-year deal that will keep him at the Halliwell Jones Stadium until the end of the 2027 Super League season.
Stone, 27, joined Warrington on loan during the 2025 campaign and quickly became a mainstay in Sam Burgess’ side. His strong edge running and defensive consistency earned praise throughout the year, prompting the Wolves to secure his services long-term.

- Sam Powell (re-signed until end of 2026)

- Jake Thewlis (re-signed until 2027)
- Jordy Crowther (re-signed until 2027)
- Josh Smith (joined from Brisbane Tigers, Queensland Cup – signed until end of 2027)
Meanwhile, Rodrick Tai has been released from his contract, and Tavita Pangai Junior has opted not to join the club after initially agreeing to terms earlier in the year.
