Saints unveil 2026 squad numbers as Klemmer and Host added to refreshed pack

St Helens have officially released their squad numbers for the 2026 season, with two high-profile arrivals headlining the list as the club continues to reshape its roster for the next phase.

Veteran forward David Klemmer has been handed the number 13 jersey, a clear signal of his expected influence through the middle, while fellow new recruit Jacob Host slots in at number 14, reinforcing Saints’ depth and versatility in the back-row rotation.

At the top end of the list, Jack Welsby retains the prestigious number 1 shirt as St Helens’ first-choice fullback, with Kyle Feldt (2) and Harry Robertson (3) completing a settled-looking back five alongside Mark Percival (4) and Deon Cross (5). The halves pairing of Tristan Sailor (6) and Jonny Lomax (7) shapes as a key focal point for Saints’ attacking direction in 2026.

The forward pack remains a major strength, featuring Alex Walmsley (8), Daryl Clark (9) and Matty Lees (10), with Curtis Sironen (11) and Shane Wright (12) offering experienced edge options to complement Klemmer’s arrival through the middle.

Several younger and developing players have also been allocated numbers, highlighting St Helens’ ongoing commitment to squad progression and internal growth.
