The draw for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup was announced this afternoon.

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S

The 10 men’s teams will be divided into three pools.

POOL A: Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Zealand

POOL B/C: England, France, Lebanon, PNG, Samoa, Tonga

The top two teams from Pool A and the top two from a combined Pool B and C progress to the semi-finals. Teams in Pools B and C play inter-pool matches with teams in one pool, playing all three of their group games against each team in the opposing pool.

There will be eight women’s teams in two pools, with the top two from each pool progressing to the semi-finals.

POOL A: Australia, England, Samoa, Wales

POOL B: Fiji, France, New Zealand, PNG

The men’s and women’s Pool games will be played in Sydney (Allianz Stadium and CommBank Stadium), Port Moresby, Perth, Newcastle, Christchurch, Brisbane, Wollongong, Gold Coast, and Townsville.

The top four men’s and women’s will play double-header semi-finals McDonald Jones Stadium (Saturday November 7) and Allianz Stadium (Sunday November 8), with a double-header World Cup Final at Suncorp Stadium (Sunday November 15).

WHEELCHAIR

The Wheelchair competition features eight teams in two pools, with all games at WIN Entertainment Centre (Wollongong). The finals will be on Thursday November 12 and Friday November 13.

POOL A: England, Ireland, USA, Wales

POOL B: Australia, France, New Zealand, Scotland
