Match Review Committee Hands Down Further Round 12 Charges

Martin Te Maire and Jaylan De Groot have been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following Saturday’s Round 12 matches in the 2026 NRL season.

Both players were charged with Grade 1 dangerous contact offences and face fines if they accept early guilty pleas.

Martin Te Maire (Warriors)

Te Maire was charged with Grade 1 Dangerous Contact following an incident involving Kyle Flanagan in the early stages of the match.

  • Early Plea: $1,000 fine
  • If Guilty at Panel: $1,500 fine

Jaylan De Groot (Titans)

De Groot has been charged with Grade 1 Dangerous Contact after contact involving Clayton Faulalo in the 59th minute.

  • Early Plea: $1,000 fine
  • If Guilty at Panel: $1,500 fine

What Happens Next

Players charged by the NRL Match Review Committee must decide whether to:

  • Accept the early guilty plea, or
  • Challenge the charge at the NRL Judiciary panel

Any contested matters will be heard early next week.
