The Dolphins have secured one of their foundation players, with Kurt Donoghoe extending his stay at the club through to the end of the 2028 NRL season.

Since that night, the versatile utility has steadily carved out a role in Wayne Bennett’s former set-up and now under the club’s next phase.
The 24-year-old has made 38 appearances in Dolphins colours to date, including 22 games last season, underlining his growing importance within the squad.
Capable of covering multiple positions across the spine and in the forwards, Donoghoe’s re-signing provides the Dolphins with valuable depth and continuity as the club looks to build on its early years in the competition.
With several inaugural squad members already moving on, the decision to lock in Donoghoe until 2028 signals the Dolphins’ intent to retain players who understand the club’s identity and systems, while still entering their prime years.
Still only 24, Donoghoe now has the opportunity to cement himself as a long-term piece of the Dolphins’ future as they continue shaping their roster beyond the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
