The Gold Coast Titans have landed their most important signature, with Tino Fa’asuamaleaui confirming his long-term commitment to the club through to the end of the 2030 NRL season.
The decision brings an end to months of speculation surrounding the future of one of the game’s premier front-rowers, with rival clubs — including the new Perth Bears franchise, where brother Izack Fa’asuamaleaui signed during the summer — monitoring the situation closely.
In an official club statement released on Wednesday, the Titans confirmed the Maroons and Kangaroos prop has chosen loyalty, doubling down on his belief in the Gold Coast project under new head coach Josh Hannay.
Fa’asuamaleaui now joins Keano Kini, AJ Brimson, Jayden Campbell and Beau Fermor as part of a growing core that has committed long-term in a bid to finally deliver premiership success to the region.
“I’m delighted Tino has committed his future here at the Titans,” Hannay said.
“In all my discussions with him, he has always been consistent with his love for the Titans, a love for his teammates, a passion for our community and a desire to help this club be successful.”
Hannay praised both Fa’asuamaleaui’s leadership and his continued development, labelling him one of the best front-rowers in the game who is still yet to hit his ceiling.
The 25-year-old is set to enter his sixth season on the Gold Coast in 2026 and is expected to notch up his 100th NRL appearance for the Titans later this year, having begun his career with the Melbourne Storm.
Fa’asuamaleaui said his decision was driven by a desire to build something lasting rather than chase outside opportunities.
“The Titans mean a lot to me and my family, and my goal has never changed since coming to the club,” he said.
“I want to remain loyal and be part of the team that delivers premiership success to the Gold Coast.”
The representative prop added that he was eager to put an end to speculation before the season began, allowing the club to move forward with clarity.
“I’ve put to bed all the speculation around my future before we start the season.
I’m fully committed to the Titans and genuinely believe we have so much potential with the long-term playing roster we’re assembling and Josh at the helm.”
With their captain now secured for the long haul, the Titans have sent a clear message: their rebuild is no longer theoretical — it’s locked in.
