Taukeiaho signs on for 2026 as Sea Eagles reinforce forward leadership
Manly have secured an important piece of their forward pack for another year, with Siosiua Taukeiaho re-signing with the Sea Eagles for the 2026 NRL season.
The 33-year-old prop, a former New Zealand and Tongan international, made his NRL return in 2025 after spending two seasons with the Catalans Dragons in Super League — a stint that ended abruptly when the French club dismissed him for behaviour they described as “highly unacceptable.”
Despite the controversial exit, Taukeiaho rebuilt his career quickly at Manly, adding maturity, physicality, and much-needed middle-third composure to Anthony Seibold’s pack. His re-signing adds to the club’s push to stabilise their roster following major off-season movement.
Taukeiaho has now amassed over 200 first-class appearances across four clubs:
- New Zealand Warriors
- Sydney Roosters
- Catalans Dragons
- Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
He remains best known for his premiership-winning years with the Roosters, where his powerful carries, goal-kicking ability, and leadership helped guide the club through its dominant late-2010s run.
Manly officials described his extension as “a reward for professionalism, resilience, and consistent impact in the middle.”
With multiple emerging forwards stepping up and veteran depth remaining essential, Taukeiaho’s retention shapes as a quietly significant move as Manly look to strengthen their pack for 2026.
