The Wests Tigers have promoted Patrick Herbert to their Top 30 roster, upgrading the experienced outside back on a two-year NRL deal.
The move provides added depth and experience to Benji Marshall’s backline stocks as the club continues shaping its squad for the coming seasons.
Herbert’s rugby league journey has been anything but straightforward. He made his NRL debut with the New Zealand Warriors in 2019, before later earning a move to the Gold Coast Titans, where he played between 2021 and 2023.
Now 29 years old, Herbert brings valuable top-grade experience to Concord. Across his career, he has played 59 NRL matches and scored 19 tries, offering strike out wide as well as versatility across the backline.
For a Tigers side looking to add reliable depth and competition for spots, the decision to elevate Herbert into the Top 30 ensures the club has proven NRL experience ready to call upon when required.
With the Tigers pushing to continue their upward trajectory under Marshall, securing seasoned contributors alongside emerging talent remains a key focus — and Herbert now has the opportunity to cement his role over the next two seasons.
