South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed the release of Davvy Moale, with the young forward’s next two seasons already mapped out across two NRL clubs.

Moale will link up with the Melbourne Storm for the 2026 season, before making a longer-term move to the Manly Sea Eagles in 2027 on a three-year deal. The arrangement mirrors a growing trend in the NRL, similar to Jonah Pezet’s pathway, which will see the Storm halfback play for Parramatta in 2026 before joining Brisbane the following year.

The 22-year-old Cook Islands international departs South Sydney having shown promise as a middle forward, and now finds himself entering one of the most competitive development environments in the game under Craig Bellamy.

Moale’s arrival adds to a busy off-season for Melbourne, who have already secured Jack Hetherington on a one-year deal for 2026, along with Trent Toelau and Manaia Waitere, both signed through to the end of 2027. The Storm continue to balance short-term depth with long-term planning as they reshape their roster.

From 2027, Moale will head north to Manly, where the Sea Eagles see him as part of their future forward rotation during what looms as a significant transition phase for the club.
