South Sydney have continued to reshape their roster for 2026, securing the signature of Adam Elliott as the experienced forward prepares for the next chapter of his NRL career.

Now 31, Elliott arrives at Redfern having carved out a reputation as one of the competition’s true journeymen. He first broke into first grade with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2016, going on to make 101 appearances across several seasons and becoming a reliable presence through the middle and on an edge.

After departing Belmore, Elliott spent the 2022 season with the Canberra Raiders before moving north to the Newcastle Knights, where he featured 48 times between 2023 and 2025. His durability and willingness to take on any role asked of him have kept him in demand, even as clubs refresh their playing lists.

Elliott now joins a Rabbitohs squad undergoing notable change, headlined by the high-profile arrival of David Fifita from the Gold Coast Titans. The signing of Bronson Garlick from the Melbourne Storm further underlines South Sydney’s focus on adding hardened NRL experience to complement their emerging talent.

While Elliott may not arrive with the fanfare of some marquee recruits, his value lies in reliability, professionalism and depth — qualities South Sydney will lean on as they look to stabilise their forward rotation across a long season. His experience across multiple systems and clubs also gives the Rabbitohs a versatile option capable of filling gaps as injuries and Origin periods test squad depth.

As the Rabbitohs continue to assemble their 2026 roster, Elliott shapes as a steady, low-risk addition — the type of signing that often proves invaluable when finals pressure mounts.
