Now a Tiger, BJ’s Raiders career can be summed up as ‘rocks and diamonds’. He was capable of brilliance (like that pass to Johnny Bateman in last year’s qualifying final against Melbourne), or bone-headedness (the unnecessarily-delayed forward pass that cost Rapa the potentially game-winning try in the grand final). His dangerous combination with Rapana is enough to get him in this starting side, with the reliable Oldfield to come on if BJ loses his head.
