Perth Bears Continue 2027 Roster Build With Liam Henry and Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui
The Perth Bears have made another strong recruitment move ahead of their inaugural 2027 NRL season, announcing the signings of Liam Henry and Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui on long-term deals.
Henry, 24, joins the Bears on a four-year contract through to the end of 2030, bringing premiership-winning experience from his time at the Penrith Panthers. A dependable and mobile middle forward, Henry has already chalked up 50 NRL appearances and was part of Penrith’s sustained era of dominance.
Fa’asuamaleaui adds further size and pedigree to Mal Meninga’s pack rebuild. The younger brother of Maroons and Kangaroos star Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, Iszac has played 28 NRL games for the Gold Coast Titans and will spend the 2026 season with Catalans Dragons in Super League before linking with Perth on a two-year deal.
The pair become the latest additions to a growing squad foundation, joining Luke Smith, Emarly Bitungane, Harry Newman and Toby Sexton as confirmed signings for the club’s debut campaign.
With recruitment momentum accelerating, the Bears continue to assemble a mix of established talent, rising forwards and international experience as they prepare to take their place in the NRL for the 2027 season.
