The Wests Tigers have secured a major boost to their roster, with Terrell May and Taylan May both recommitting to the club until the end of the 2030 NRL season.

The double extension locks in two key pieces of the Tigers’ forward and backline depth as the club continues building for the future.

Terrell Leading the Way

Terrell May has been a standout since arriving at the Tigers in 2025, quickly establishing himself as a leader through the middle.

The 27-year-old, who had previously been contracted until 2027, has now extended his stay after bringing consistency and experience to the pack. Across his career, he has played 84 NRL matches, continuing to lead from the front with his work rate and physical presence.

Taylan Building Momentum

Younger brother Taylan May has also committed long-term after showing promise since joining the Tigers in late 2025 following his release from the Penrith Panthers in mid-2024.

The outside back has played 10 matches for the Tigers and recently returned from a shoulder injury, featuring in the club’s win over the Brisbane Broncos at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Future Direction Taking Shape

The re-signings come at an important time for the Tigers, with key roster changes on the horizon.

With Jarome Luai set to depart for the PNG Chiefs in 2028, the club may explore further family reunions, with speculation that Tyrone May could be a future target to bring the trio together.

For now, the Tigers have taken a significant step by securing both Terrell and Taylan long-term — ensuring continuity and stability as they continue shaping their squad toward the end of the decade.
