The Canberra Raiders have confirmed that Simi Sasagi has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2028 NRL season.

Sasagi, 24, joined the Raiders from Newcastle in 2024 and has impressed with his versatility in the backline. His ability to cover both centre and second row has made him a valuable squad member under coach Ricky Stuart.

The Samoan international extension adds to a strong period of retention for the Raiders, with Zac Hosking, Savelio Tamale, and Tom Starling all recently committing to new deals. Canberra’s focus on building stability and continuity in the squad continues as they look toward long-term success.

Canberra Raiders face defending premiers Penrith Panthers in round 25 at Mudgee on Friday evening.
