Gildart has become a valuable part of Hull KR’s backline, offering versatility, composure and big-game experience after playing in both the NRL and Super League.
His extension provides important continuity as Hull KR look to remain among the competition’s leading contenders.
The club has also secured veteran winger Joe Burgess on a deal for the 2027 season. One of the most prolific finishers of his generation, Burgess has scored 175 tries across the NRL and Super League, bringing elite experience and proven strike power to the Robins’ edge.
The retention of Burgess further underlines Hull KR’s approach of blending experienced campaigners with emerging talent as they continue their push for silverware.
The announcements cap off a big week for the club, with head coach Willie Peters reportedly in contention for the England national team role following Shaun Wane stepping aside. While speculation continues around Peters’ future, Hull KR’s latest contract moves send a clear message of stability and forward planning.
With key contributors secured and off-field interest growing, Hull Kingston Rovers remain one of Super League’s most settled and ambitious clubs.
