Match Review Committee Hands Down First Round 6 Charges

Casey McLean and Kurt Mann have been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following Thursday night’s Round 6 match in the 2026 NRL season.

McLean is facing a suspension after being sin-binned during the match, while Mann was placed on report and penalised for his incident.

McLean has been charged with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle following an incident involving Max King in the 8th minute.

The Panthers forward was sent to the sin bin for the tackle during the match.

  • Early Plea: 1-match suspension
  • If Guilty at Panel: 2-match suspension

Other Charge

Kurt Mann (Bulldogs)

Mann has been charged with a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle after contact involving Scott Sorensen.

The Bulldogs forward was placed on report and penalised at the time of the incident.

  • Early Plea: $1,000 fine
  • If Guilty at Panel: $1,500 fine

What Happens Next

The charged players must decide whether to:

  • Accept the early guilty plea, or
  • Challenge the charge at the NRL Judiciary panel.

Any contested charges will be heard early next week.
