Leigh Leopards have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2026 Super League season, with Tesi Niu set to wear the number 3 jersey as the club’s attention turns fully toward the upcoming campaign.

The announcement arrives following a period of off-field attention surrounding the centre, though the club has reiterated that its focus remains firmly on football as preparations continue.

Speaking during pre-season media commitments, head coach Adrian Lam addressed the situation, making it clear Leigh have moved on.

“It’s not something that I really want to make a comment on, to be honest with you. The club has brought out a statement about that and we’ve moved on from that,” Lam said.
“Tesi’s been really focused at training, he’s at a next level that I haven’t seen from him before at the moment.”

Club owner Derek Beaumont had earlier confirmed that both Niu and his partner are “fully supported”, with no official complaints received, reinforcing the club’s stance as Super League 2026 edges closer.
