Here’s a look at some of the interesting numbers associated with the 2024 NRL premiership season.

4: Penrith Panthers won their fourth consecutive NRL title to become the greatest team in the NRL era. Only South Sydney Rabbitohs (1925-1929) and the St George Dragons (1956-1966) stand in front of them for most consecutive titles.

6: number of players who passed 100 NRL career tries during 2025: Valentine Holmes (108), Latrell Mitchell (106), Tom Trbojevic (105), Maika Sivo (104), Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (101) and Clint Gutherson (100).

9: Wests Tigers under new coach Benji Marshall won 2 of their first 3 games before slumping to nine straight defeats between round 5 and 14. Their round 15 win over the Titans (18-10) at Leichhardt ended their losing streak.

10: number of golden point games in the NRL this season, involving 10 clubs. The Dolphins and Warriors were involved in 3 each; the Bulldogs, Sharks, Knights, Cowboys, Sea Eagles and Raiders in 2; while the Panthers and Titans were involved in 1 game.

12: Penrith’s number of consecutive finals victories in a row, breaking the previous record (10) set by St George during their dominant era in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Liam Martin won the Clive Churchill Medal as the Panthers took down the Storm 14-6 in the Grand Final.

13: number of times the Sydney Roosters passed 30 points in a game during 2024 regular season. In 2023 they only hit 30 points or more on four occasions with their first coming in round 24 of that season.

19: Melbourne Storm led 19 times at half-time during their 2024 NRL campaign and won on every occasion. They were two minutes away from leading at the half-time break in the NRL Grand Final before Liam Martin scored to give the Panthers the lead 10-6.

24: number of tries scored by Alofiana Khan-Pereira in becoming the leading try scorer in the NRL this year. His NRL tally now stands at 44 after two seasons in the competition.

32: Zac Lomax’s haul for the Dragons against the Tigers on June 7, 2024, was the highest individual points return in a single match since Nathan Cleary scored 34 points against the Newcastle Knights in September 2019. Lomax scored 3 tries and 10 goals in his efforts.

40: number of points scored by the Dragons in going down to Parramatta on August 31 by 44-40. It was the highest score by a losing side in the competition’s history.

66: a record-breaking afternoon for the Gold Coast Titans against the Warriors at CBUS Stadium (66-6) on June 22 where the club broke records for most points in a game, biggest winning margin and most points by a player in a game (Jayden Campbell, 26 pts). Alofiana Khan-Pereira scored 4 tries in the demolition.

86: number of points scored at Campbelltown Sports Stadium in the game built up to be the “spoon bowl” between the Eels and Tigers. The Eels would win 60-26, the equal highest aggregate game since the Eels beat the Broncos at Suncorp in round 25, 2017.

151: number of career tries that Kyle Feldt scored for the North Queensland Cowboys before announcing his move to the Super League in 2025.

266: number of points Valentine Holmes accumulated in becoming the leading point scorer in this season’s NRL competition.

1,742: number of tries scored in the 2024 NRL season (including finals). Sydney Roosters led the way with 141 tries, followed by the Storm (135) and Sharks (121). Canberra and the Wests Tigers scored the least (82).

9,962: number of points scored across the 213 NRL games. 4,945 points were scored in the first half of matches while 5,017 were scored in the second half/golden point.

4,266,464: total attendance number across the 2024 NRL season with an average 20,611 per game.
