Warrington Wolves have secured the services of Ryan Matterson for the remainder of the 2025 Super League season, with the experienced forward joining on loan from the Parramatta Eels.
Matterson, 30, has found game time hard to come by under Jason Ryle at Parramatta this year, making just four first-grade appearances in 2025. The move provides him an opportunity to reignite his season while bolstering Warrington’s forward stocks as they chase a Super League finals berth.
The former NSW Blues representative, who boasts over 180 NRL appearances with stints at the Tigers, Roosters, and Eels, brings size, offload ability, and versatility to the Wolves pack.
This loan continues a recent trend of NRL players making short-term Super League moves, as Warrington look to boost their depth ahead of the playoffs.
