If found guilty or taking an early plea, Wighton could face multiple weeks on the sidelines given his prior offence record.

Four other players were cited across Saturday’s fixtures:

  • Jackson Ford (Warriors) – Grade 1 Crusher Tackle (29th minute) on Jayden Campbell.
  • Te Maire Martin (Warriors) – Grade 1 Crusher Tackle (31st minute) on Klese Haas.
  • Sean Mullany (Titans) – Grade 2 Dangerous Contact (78th minute) on Demitric Vaimauga.
  • Alex Seyfarth (Tigers) – Grade 1 Dangerous Contact (Tripping, 6th minute) on Izack Tago.

All five cases will be finalised when early pleas are confirmed or players elect to contest the charges at the judiciary early next week.
