Castleford Tigers have secured the signing of Blake Taaffe on a three-year deal beginning in the 2026 Super League season.
The 26-year-old fullback makes the move from the NRL, where he has played with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs (2024–25) and South Sydney Rabbitohs (2021–23). A versatile back, Taaffe is best known for his role at fullback but has also been used in the halves and at utility.
Taaffe featured in the 2021 NRL Grand Final, starting at fullback for the Rabbitohs in their loss to Penrith. He later joined the Bulldogs in 2024 but found limited opportunities, managing just 13 appearances in two seasons with the club.
The switch to Super League presents an opportunity for Taaffe to establish himself as a regular first-grade starter and add international experience to Castleford’s backline.
