Hull KR have secured the long-term future of exciting young hooker Bill Leyland, who has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2028 Super League season.
Leyland joined the Robins ahead of the 2024 campaign and has wasted little time establishing himself in the top grade. At just 22 years of age, he has already racked up 9 Super League appearances and become a reliable presence out of dummy half.
Known for his sharp service, work rate in defence, and ability to spark attacking momentum around the ruck, Leyland is seen as a crucial component in Hull KR’s spine for the future.
Hull KR’s head coach, Willie Peters, praised the re-signing, stating:
“We’re pleased Bill has signed a new deal with the club. We believe Bill’s best years are ahead of him.”
The club’s retention of Leyland follows a series of positive moves aimed at locking in their young core, as Hull Kingston Rovers continue to challenge for top-four status in Super League.
