MATCHDAY PREVIEW
Easter is here, Good Friday is coming and opening this day full of Rugby League is always the Hull Derby. Hull KR have had the edge in the last three meetings including the Challenge Cup quarter final two weeks ago.
Willie Peters welcomes Mikey Lewis back into the side after he missed last week’s loss to Wigan Warriors, but they will be with Michael McIllorum due to a bicep injury he picked up. James Batchelor has been confirmed to be playing after being named in last week’s 21-man squad but did not feature on game day. Leon Ruan and Harvey Horne have also been drafted into the squad after Eribe Doro and Noah Booth both move out on loan to Bradford Bulls and Featherstone Rovers respectively on loan.
Hull FC make one change from the win away to Warrington last Saturday as Denive Balmforth comes back from injury to replace outgoing Hugo Salabio, who has joined Castleford Tigers on loan this week.
John Cartwright’s side remain without Harvey Barron (hamstring), Ligi Sao (knee), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), Jordan Lane (arm), Oliver Holmes (knee), Brad Fash (calf), Ryan Westerman (ankle), Liam Watts (calf), and Roman Dawson (ACL).
Hull KR aren’t without absences as they are missing the aforementioned McIllorum, and Rhyse Martin is out for a prolonged period of time and will be rocked after their first loss in all competitions last week at home.
Despite all the noise coming from last week, Hull KR will fight back and stay top of the league for another week, but it will not be as one sided as the Challenge Cup game looked at points.
MATCHDAY PREDICTION
Hull KR by 12 Points.
