MATCHDAY PREVIEW

Hull FC will be looking to start their march back into the play-off race with a visit to the struggling Salford Red Devils. Salford have only won one game this season and are at a high chance of not being able to fulfill their fixtures for the rest of the year.

They have got four new players come into their squad this week but have lost Sam Stone, who according to Paul Rowley, ‘downed tools’ and forced his move away to Warrington Wolves. Dan Russell and Tom Whitehead were part of that deal, with the Red Devils landing the former until the end of the season. Kobe Rugless has joined from Hunslet on a two-week loan deal, while the addition of Cain Robb was announced on Friday with him making the short-term move, too.

Hull FC boss John Cartwright has made just one change to his squad, with Logan Moy coming in for Will Hutchinson. The Black and Whites boss confirmed that every member of the side that played against Castleford Tigers last week was fit to go around again when speaking on Thursday.

If Tom Briscoe gets the call to start, he only needs one more try to level his teammate Will Pryce’s dad, Leon in the Super League all-time leading try scorers. He is also two tries away from 100 tries for the Black and Whites.

The Airlie Birds have taken a dip in form since the start of the year but a solid win at Salford could be what they need to pick their season back up again.
