Melbourne Storm forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been suspended for three weeks following a high tackle in Thursday night’s Round 27 clash. The suspension means Asofa-Solomona will miss the first three matches of the Storm’s finals campaign, and if Melbourne if they don’t make the grand final, he would not play again this season.

The incident occurred in the 37th minute of the match and was graded as a Careless High Tackle – Grade 2. This was Asofa-Solomona’s 3rd & subsequent offence, resulting in a 4-match base penalty, with the early plea reducing the suspension to 3 weeks.

Other Round 27 Judiciary Outcomes:

  • Josiah Karapani (Broncos) – Charged with a Careless High Tackle – Grade 1 in the 79th minute. As this was his first offence, he received a fine of $1,000, reduced to $1,500 with the early plea.

This Round 27 judiciary outcome underscores the NRL’s continued focus on player safety and high tackle sanctions, particularly during the critical finals period.
