The Penrith Panthers are through to the 2025 preliminary final after a dominant 46-26 victory over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs yesterday at Accor Stadium.

The Panthers piled on points in a high-scoring contest to set up a blockbuster clash with the Brisbane Broncos next Sunday at Suncorp Stadium, with a grand final berth on the line.

But the match wasn’t without judiciary fallout, with three players charged by the Match Review Committee.

  • Kurt Mann (Bulldogs) was hit with a Grade 1 dangerous contact charge in the 33rd minute on Nathan Cleary. As a second offence, Mann faces a fine of $1,800 (early plea) or $2,500 if found guilty at the panel.
  • Nathan Cleary (Panthers) was charged with a Grade 1 careless high tackle in the 52nd minute on Connor Tracey. He can take a $1,000 fine with an early plea.
  • Brad Schneider (Panthers) was cited for a Grade 1 dangerous contact charge in the 67th minute on Sitili Tupouniua. He also faces a $1,000 fine with an early plea.
