Castleford Tigers have secured the signature of Semi Valemei, adding another potent attacking weapon to their squad for the 2026 Super League season.
The 26-year-old Fijian flyer has experience in the NRL, representing both the Canberra Raiders and North Queensland Cowboys, and is expected to bring speed and finishing ability to the Tigers’ backline.
Valemei has made 46 NRL appearances, scoring 23 tries since his debut. Most recently, he played 7 games for Mackay Cutters in the Queensland Cup in 2025. His move to Castleford marks an exciting next step in his career and gives him an opportunity to feature as a regular top-flight winger in Super League.
He joins a growing list of Castleford signings in 2025, including Mikaele Ravalawa, giving the Tigers one of the most dynamic outside backlines in the competition ahead of the 2026 season.
Valemei‘s North Queensland Cowboys bowed out for 2025 last weekend after failing to make the finals series.
