The Wests Tigers have confirmed the signing of back-rower Mav Geyer for the 2026 NRL season, adding more depth and strike to their edge forward rotation.

Geyer, 24, makes the move from the Penrith Panthers, where he has been a standout in the NSW Cup system but has yet to establish himself in their NRL side, appearing 13 times in two season.

He now gets the opportunity to push for regular NRL selection at a club continuing to overhaul its roster for next season.

The move also marks a return to family roots, with Geyer’s father, Mark Geyer, having played for the Balmain Tigers during the 1993 season – one of the two foundation clubs that merged to form the modern-day Wests Tigers.

Geyer will link up with the squad in the pre-season ahead of the 2026 campaign.
