Hull FC have boosted their squad stability with the re-signings of two experienced campaigners, Tom Briscoe and Ligi Sao, both committing to the club until at least the end of the 2026 season.
At 35 years old, winger Tom Briscoe has penned a new deal that will see him remain at the MKM Stadium until the conclusion of 2026, with an option to extend into 2027.
Briscoe’s career has spanned more than 15 years at the top level, including his earlier stint at Leeds Rhinos where he became known for his big-game performances. Since returning to Hull FC, the club where he first made his name, he has provided invaluable experience and leadership in the backline.
In total, Briscoe has played 427 matches in Super League for 213 tries and represented England 15 times between 2009 and 2013.
Meanwhile, Ligi Sao, 32, has also extended his stay. Since joining Hull FC in 2020, the powerful forward has been a mainstay of the pack, earning respect for his consistent work rate and physical presence in the middle. His new deal ties him to the Black and Whites until the end of 2026.
The re-signings reflect Hull FC’s focus on experience and stability as they look to rebuild momentum heading into the 2026 Super League season. Briscoe’s finishing ability and professionalism, combined with Sao’s strength up front, provide the club with reliable leaders both on and off the field.
Fans will be buoyed by the news that two senior figures are locked in for the next campaign, with Hull FC signalling their intent to blend seasoned performers with emerging talent as they shape their roster for the years ahead.
