The NRL Judiciary has handed down charges to two players following incidents during Round 25 on 24 August 2025. Reece Robson of the North Queensland Cowboys and Tony Sukkar of the Wests Tigers were both cited for careless high tackles in separate matches.
Robson was penalised for a high tackle on Jarome Luai in the 17th minute of the Cowboys’ clash. The charge was graded as Level 1, with the incident being his first recorded offence in three years. After entering an early guilty plea, Robson received a fine of $1,000 (subject to plea).
Sukkar faced a similar fate, being charged for a careless high tackle on Braidon Burns in the 58th minute of the Tigers’ game. Like Robson, this was Sukkar’s first offence on record in three years. By pleading guilty early, Sukkar also had his fine reduced to $1,000 (subject to plea).
