The NRL Judiciary has confirmed three further charges from Friday night’s Round 27 fixtures, with South Sydney’s Jamie Humphreys the headline sanction after being hit with a Dangerous Contact – Grade 2 charge.
Humphreys’ offence came from a hip drop tackle on Roosters forward Siua Wong early in the second half. With this being his second offence, he has been handed a two-match suspension with an early plea, or three matches if he fights the charge and is found guilty.
Elsewhere, Victor Radley (Roosters) and Sean Keppie (Rabbitohs) were both cited for Careless High Tackles – Grade 1 in separate incidents. As first-time offenders, each has been fined $1,000 with an early plea ($1,500 if they contest unsuccessfully).
These charges follow Thursday night’s judiciary outcomes, where Nelson Asofa-Solomona (Storm) received a two-week ban that will see him sidelined for Melbourne’s opening two finals matches, while Broncos centre Josiah Karapani was fined for a late high shot.
