MATCHDAY PREVIEW
To end the first day of the Magic Weekend, we have two of the four teams to have won the Super League who both have a similar record at Magic Weekend.
Both sides have won nine games at Magic and have a 52.94% win rate at the weekend-long celebration of Rugby League.
Paul Wellens could give a debut to new signing Deon Cross as he made two changes to his squad that lost against Warrington Wolves last Thursday. Ben Davies and Jake Burns miss out as Jake Wingfield is back in contention for selection, following head injury protocols which made him not available to play since the Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Warrington nearly four weeks ago. Agnatius Paasi will make his 200th career appearance when he takes the field at St James’ Park.
Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur has named an unchanged squad from the narrow defeat at home to League Leaders Hull KR as Ash Handley escaped a ban after his red card and Ryan Hall is expected to play after picking up an injury in the same contest
St Helens have won their last six games against the Rhinos, but Wellens is under pressure and i think the bubble will burst when the two sides face off on Saturday Night.
