The NRL Match Review Committee has handed down two charges from Sunday’s Round 23 action, with Titans forward Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui and Cowboys prop Coen Hess both cited for separate incidents.

Fa’asuamaleaui was charged with Grade 1 Careless High Tackle on South Sydney’s Jai Arrow in the 32nd minute of the Gold Coast’s clash. With no prior offences in the last three years, the Titans enforcer can accept a $1,000 fine with an early guilty plea, or risk an increased $1,500 sanction if he contests the charge and is found guilty.

In Sydney, Cowboys veteran Coen Hess faces a much heavier sanction after being cited for Grade 2 Dangerous Contact on Eels fullback Joash Papalii in the 7th minute. With multiple previous offences, Hess is looking at a three-match suspension with an early plea, or four matches if he heads to the judiciary and is unsuccessful.
