MATCHDAY PREVIEW

Warrington host St Helens in the Challenge Cup for the second year in a row with the host being the victors by 31 points to 6 in 2024.

The Wolves have made two changes to the team that beat Leeds last weekend with Josh Thewlis coming back into the fray as well as Jordy Crowther who makes his way into the 21.

Those two replace Stefan Ratchford and Dan Russell as the Wolves aim towards their second Challenge Cup Final in a row.

St Helens will make the short trip to Cheshire without flying youngster Harry Robertson due to a head knock he picked up last week against Catalans.

Curtis Sironen returns after missing the trip to France to be at the birth of his child and Paul Wellens has made it clear that there will be minimal changes to the side that edged out the Dragons last Saturday.

St Helens have beaten West Hull and Leeds Rhinos to get to this stage and Warrington have got the better of two lower league oppositions in Whitehaven and Widnes Vikings respectively.

Warrington have shown in close games this season they have the confidence to get over the line and that was the case when these two played each other just a few weeks ago.

Both sides will want to be the team that takes this bit of silverware out of Wigan’s cabinet and into their own but Warrington will have the cutting edge especially with Marc Sneyd to get themselves into the final four of this prestigious competition.

MATCHDAY PREDICTION

Warrington Wolves by 4 points.
