Preview
Completing the double-header is Huddersfield’s clash with Leeds as two of the League’s early pacesetter’s go toe-to-toe at Headingley.
Ashton Golding is named in Simon Woolford’s 21-man squad for the first time since joining from Leeds in the off-season. Leroy Cudjoe is also included and set to make his long-awaited return from injury.
Kruise Leeming is set to make his Rhinos debut against his former club, having been sidelined with a knee injury since Christmas. Tom Briscoe could make his first appearance in almost a year after recovering from the ACL knee injury he suffered against the Giants last season.
Prediction
Both Huddersfield and Leeds looked impressive prior to Super League’s enforced break making this Yorkshire derby an intriguing encounter. It’s difficult to separate the two sides on paper and could come down to which team adapts best to the rule changes, where the Giants might just have the edge.
