The Australian Rugby League Commission has today unveiled a 24-man Kangaroos squad for the historic 2025 Ashes Tour — the first between Australia and England in more than two decades.

Penrith Panthers co-captain Isaah Yeo has been named captain of the national side, leading a squad that blends premiership-winning experience with exciting new talent. The Kangaroos will face England in three Tests at Wembley Stadium (October 25), Everton Stadium (November 1), and Headingley (November 8).

Premiers Well Represented

Reigning premiers Brisbane Broncos have been rewarded for their dominant 2025 NRL campaign, with four players selected in Kevin Walters’ squad. The group includes Clive Churchill Medal winner Reece Walsh, who capped a remarkable season by earning his first Kangaroos call-up. Fellow Broncos Patrick Carrigan, Kotoni Staggs, and Gehamat Shibasaki also feature, underlining Brisbane’s influence on the representative scene.

The Penrith Panthers, fresh off another strong season, also boast a significant presence. Alongside Yeo, halfback Nathan Cleary, fullback Dylan Edwards, and forward Lindsay Smith have all been included.

Fresh Faces and Familiar Stars

The 24-man squad features seven players from this year’s NRL Grand Final between Melbourne Storm and Brisbane Broncos, as well as six debutants: Blayke Brailey, Keaon Koloamatangi, Mark Nawaqanitawase, Jacob Preston, Gehamat Shibasaki, and Reece Walsh.

Veterans Cameron Munster, Harry Grant, Nathan Cleary, and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui bring valuable experience from previous Kangaroos campaigns.
