At this point in time Hull Kingston Rovers are two points above the drop-zone and have four games left to play. Their next match will be against the out-of-touch Wakefield Trinity at KCOM Craven Park.
This match will be as important as the previous match, and the one before that, and so on. Another two points will put Rovers up to ninth if other results go their way.
But looking back on the second-half of the season under Tony Smith. I’d say the Grand-Final winner has made a statement as to why Hull Kingston Rovers deserve to stay in Super League.
Whilst the squad is still a work in progress, I believe that I speak for the supporters that Tony Smith should extend his contract with Hull Kingston Rovers if we stay in Super League, despite not commenting on his future just yet.
Whether he will stay in East Hull for a bit longer remains to be seen, he is still their coach until the final whistle is blown at the Salford game. So if you’re a Hull Kingston Rovers supporter or not, let’s enjoy this while it lasts.
