Storm second-rower Eliesa Katoa is facing a fine after being charged by the NRL Match Review Committee for a careless high tackle in Thursday night’s Round 22 clash against the Cronulla Sharks.

The incident occurred in the 79th minute, when Katoa made contact with Sharks forward Jack Williams. The tackle was deemed a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle.

It is Katoa’s first offence in the last three years, which allows the player to accept a monetary penalty in lieu of a suspension if an early plea is entered.
