The Newcastle Knights have confirmed the signing of Jake Arthur on a two-year deal, which will see the playmaker join the club until the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Arthur, 21, has made 27 NRL appearances to date, having debuted with the Parramatta Eels in 2021 before moving to the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in 2023.

A composed and intelligent half, Arthur has been praised for his game management and kicking game, attributes that the Knights are expected to harness as they continue building depth in the halves.

Arthur’s move to Newcastle comes after limited opportunities at Manly, where he played as a backup to Daly Cherry-Evans. With the Knights looking to bolster their spine depth, the signing is seen as a smart long-term investment.
