The Bulldogs have locked in one of their brightest young forwards, with Harry Hayes re-signing on a long-term deal that will keep him at Belmore until the end of the 2029 NRL season.
At 23, Hayes has made 27 first-grade appearances since debuting in 2024, quickly establishing himself as a key part of Canterbury’s forward rotation.
The re-signing is a major show of faith in the development of Hayes, who has been praised for his high work rate, size, and competitiveness.
This news follows the club’s announcement yesterday that Kade Dykes has agreed to terms to join the Bulldogs from 2026. Dykes, a talented utility back, has endured a luckless run with injuries since his debut season at Cronulla in 2022.
Bulldogs GM of Football Phil Gould commented: “Since making his debut late in 2024, he has now established himself as a genuine first-grader. He has a great work ethic and has the ability to play both in the middle and on an edge, which is a great advantage.”
