South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed that prolific winger Alex Johnston has re-signed on a three-year deal, keeping him at Redfern through to the end of the 2027 NRL season.

The Papua New Guinea international, already one of the most feared finishers in rugby league, has tallied 207 career tries in 237 appearances since debuting in 2014 – leaving him on track to eclipse Ken Irvine’s all-time tryscoring record (212) in Rabbitohs colours.

Johnston’s loyalty ensures the Rabbitohs retain one of their most valuable attacking weapons as they rebuild under their new-look coaching staff, with his speed and finishing ability continuing to define South Sydney’s left-edge strike.

This re-signing is the latest retention move for the Rabbitohs as they look to lock in their core squad for the coming years.
