For bottom club Salford, their miserable 2025 continued as they slipped to a 12th defeat from 13 league games. Prior to their defeat by Wigan, BBC Radio Manchester reported Salford’s players had been paid wages for May as the club continue to battle off-field financial issues.

From opening to final whistle here everything went perfectly for Wire as they arrested a run of three defeats in Super League with a win which, while not improving their league position, has done wonders for their mood. There was a masterful display from Matt Dufty as the Wire ran in four tries in a dominant first period after which they led 22-6, with Josh and Jake Thewlis, Rodrick Tai and Arron Lindop going over. The Tigers won the second half, but the first half performance gave the Wolves a crucial two points before their trip to Wembley.

Leeds overpowered Trinity in the first half, dominating in the forwards and looking the more creative side, and with Connor in clinical mood they built a healthy lead. Super League’s leading points scorer Max Jowitt, however, added two tries to that scored by Lachlan Walmsley in the first half to make it a nervy finish for home supporters.
Catalans Dragons 0-34 Hull FC
HULL FC TRIES: Herman Ese’ese (9′), Liam Martin (17′), Aiden Sezer (39′), Davy Litten (53′), Will Pryce (62′), Tom Briscoe (66′)
HULL FC GOALS: Sezer x4, Pryce x1
Catalans Dragons failed to score a point for the third game in a row, this has only ever happened once before in Super League history. Hull FC showed their class as Herman Ese’ese, Lewis Martin, Will Pryce, Davy Litten and Tom Briscoe’s scores have ensured Hull brought home two points in style. It is now five games and one coach since Catalans’ golden point 24-20 win over Wakefield Trinity on 26 April with 40-0 reverse at St Helens, a 48-0 home drubbing by Wigan and now this. Things are looking bleak for the French representative in Super League.
