The Brisbane Broncos marched into the 2025 NRL Grand Final with a thrilling win over Penrith at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, but the clash wasn’t without judiciary fallout.

Broncos prop Xavier Willison was charged for dangerous contact in the 28th minute following a cannonball-style tackle on Panthers forward Luke Garner. Despite the incident, Willison has escaped suspension, instead receiving a $1,000 fine with an early guilty plea. He remains free to line up for Brisbane in next Sunday’s decider.

Meanwhile, Panthers back-rower Liam Martin was cited for contrary conduct in the 55th minute on Broncos playmaker Ezra Mam. Like Willison, Martin with an early guilty plea will receive a $1,000 fine but no ban.

Willison will be available for selection, meaning the Grand Final will feature full-strength squads as the Storm and Broncos prepare to battle it out for the 2025 Telstra Premiership.
